The Department of Computer Engineering Techniques at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness campaign on Monday, October 26, 2026, to highlight the risks, causes, and effects of domestic violence on individuals and society. The campaign was supervised by Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Hussein, Assist. Lecturer Zainab Kadhim, and Lecturer Saif Ali, with the participation of second-year students, aiming to raise social awareness and promote a culture of respect and humane treatment within the family. The campaign included providing direct guidance to raise awareness of the dangers of domestic violence and its psychological and social consequences. It also emphasized the importance of dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect in building healthy family relationships, while encouraging awareness of the need to prevent violent behavior and promote the values of tolerance and cooperation. This initiative reflects Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment to supporting educational and awareness activities that enhance students' awareness, strengthen their role in serving the community, and promote humanitarian principles that contribute to building a safe and stable social environment. The campaign aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality, through raising awareness of violence prevention, and Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, by promoting a culture of peace, rejecting violence, and fostering safer communities.
