Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Abbas Hadi, a faculty member in the Department of Biology at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, participated on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in the opening of the third edition of the Iraq Education Conference. The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Haider Baha Al-Hassani, under the slogan “From Education to Development: Global Partnerships and Universities Shaping the Future.” The opening ceremony was attended by a number of officials and academic figures, including the Chair and members of the Parliamentary Education Committee, the Head of the Advisory Board, and a distinguished group of university leaders, experts, and specialists from Iraq and abroad. The conference addressed prospects for advancing higher education and strengthening academic cooperation among educational institutions. The opening speeches highlighted the importance of expanding strategic partnerships, exchanging scientific expertise, supporting applied research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and strengthening cooperation with the public and private sectors. They also emphasized aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs and sustainable development goals. The conference further featured keynote addresses by international academic figures and the opening of the Iraqi Higher Education Exhibition, with participation from Iraqi, Arab, and international universities and educational institutions.
