As part of its ongoing efforts to keep pace with rapid developments in the digital field, the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies at the College of Engineering Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific and awareness activity focusing on Digital Forensics, one of the fundamental fields in investigating cybercrimes, examining security incidents, and identifying the sources of digital threats. The activity covered a range of technical procedures used in digital forensic investigations, beginning with the collection and extraction of digital evidence, the analysis of system logs and temporary memory, and the recovery of data, through to examining digital traces that may reveal attackers’ techniques. It also emphasized the importance of documenting evidence, preserving its integrity, and preparing accurate technical reports that can support investigative procedures. The activity aims to raise students’ specialized awareness and strengthen their analytical, investigative, and methodological skills in handling cybersecurity incidents, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified professionals capable of addressing emerging cyber threats. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) through developing technical knowledge and skills, and Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting digital investigation practices and supporting efforts to combat cybercrime.
