The Department of Biology at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, conducted a practical workshop entitled “Laboratory Diagnosis of Staphylococcus Bacterial Isolates” on Monday, October 26, 2026. The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Jawad Kazem. The workshop covered laboratory methods used to diagnose Staphylococcus isolates, identify their morphological characteristics, and understand the techniques used for their isolation and cultivation on appropriate culture media. It also reviewed laboratory tests used to distinguish these bacteria and determine their diagnostic characteristics, emphasizing the importance of following sterilization procedures and laboratory safety protocols during testing. The workshop aimed to develop students’ practical skills in bacterial diagnosis and strengthen their knowledge of laboratory techniques used to study bacteria and identify them, thereby supporting the practical component of microbiology studies. This workshop is part of the Department of Biology’s scientific activities aimed at enhancing laboratory experience and developing scientific skills related to microscopic examination and bacterial diagnosis.
