Porous scaffolds are among the modern technologies in Biomedical Engineering, contributing to bone regeneration and damaged tissue repair by providing a suitable environment for cell attachment, growth, and the formation of new tissues. These structures are characterized by interconnected pores that allow oxygen and nutrients to pass through, supporting cell growth and blood vessel formation within tissues. These scaffolds are manufactured using various biomaterials, such as bioceramics, polymers, and biocompatible metals. Furthermore, 3D printing technologies have contributed to developing precise designs that can be tailored to bone defects and patients’ needs. The success of porous scaffolds depends on achieving a balance between porosity, mechanical strength, and biocompatibility, providing suitable support for tissue growth and integration with the surrounding bone. In this context, porous scaffolds represent one of the promising applications of Biomedical Engineering, offering advanced opportunities in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine and contributing to the development of modern therapeutic solutions aimed at improving patients’ quality of life.
