As part of its academic and national role in supporting the development of higher education, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in a specialized panel discussion entitled “Academic Programmes that Develop National Institutions and Support Society”, held as part of the third edition of the Iraq Education Conference 2026, with the participation of distinguished academic leaders, experts, and specialists. The session addressed ways to develop academic programmes in line with national development requirements and labour market needs, as well as anticipating future specialisations that contribute to supporting state institutions and the private sector. During his participation, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi presented Al-Mustaqbal University's vision regarding the importance of introducing high-quality academic programmes that focus on applied education, digital transformation, and modern technologies. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships between universities, government institutions, and the private sector to prepare graduates with the scientific and practical skills needed to keep pace with labour market developments. He emphasised the importance of directing university education towards priority specialisations, particularly in the fields of energy, water, agriculture, industry, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, while enhancing practical training and aligning educational outcomes with society's needs and sustainable development requirements.
