Artificial intelligence (AI) tools have revolutionized English language teaching and assessment, providing teachers and students with unprecedented opportunities to personalize and enhance the learning process to meet the individual needs of each learner. These smart technologies have contributed to creating interactive environments based on real-time analysis of student performance, enabling rapid response to weaknesses and the reinforcement of strengths in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. At the lesson planning level, teachers can now design educational content tailored to different language levels with exceptional flexibility and in record time, reducing administrative effort and allowing for a focus on direct classroom interaction. AI platforms have also provided learners with opportunities to practice interactive conversation and receive immediate feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, directly contributing to overcoming language anxiety. In academic writing, automated feedback has become a powerful tool for refining style, improving sentence structure, and correcting common errors during the writing process itself, thus accelerating language acquisition in a scientific and systematic way. As for language skills assessment, AI has shifted assessment methods from traditional standardized tests to continuous and adaptive assessment that accurately measures a student's actual ability. Modern algorithms can analyze responses and determine proficiency levels in a neutral and rapid manner, ensuring fair grading and providing teachers with accurate data on each student's individual progress. Furthermore, these technologies have facilitated the development of diagnostic tests that adapt to learners' responses, adjusting the difficulty of questions based on previous answers, thus offering a more realistic assessment of their actual skills. With this significant advancement, the teacher's role is no longer limited to knowledge transmission but has evolved into that of a guide and facilitator, leveraging available data to provide deeper educational and interpersonal support. Artificial intelligence technologies also enable blended and self-directed learning opportunities outside the classroom, ensuring continuous language acquisition anytime, anywhere. However, this digital transformation necessitates training for teaching staff on the responsible use of technological tools and raising student awareness of AI ethics to guarantee academic integrity. Integrating these modern technologies into educational curricula directly contributes to improving the quality of educational outcomes and preparing a generation capable of meeting the demands of the digital age and communicating effectively with the world. The true success of artificial intelligence lies in finding a delicate balance between the power of technology and the wisdom of human expertise in managing the educational process and achieving the highest standards of academic quality.
