The lecturer in the Department of Communications Engineering Techniques at Al-Mustaqbal University, Assistant Lecturer Abbas Yaseen Nasser, delivered a specialized scientific course entitled “Network Automation and Intelligent Management”, which lasted for three days and concluded on Wednesday, 21 October 2026. The course aimed to introduce modern concepts of network automation and infrastructure management using the Python programming language, as well as the application of Network APIs to develop network management, monitoring, and control methods. This contributes to reducing manual intervention, enhancing operational efficiency, and improving responsiveness to network changes and events. The course covered several scientific and practical topics, including the fundamentals of network automation, the use of Python in performing network-related tasks, working with Network APIs, automating network device configuration, data collection, and performance monitoring. It also explored intelligent management applications in network data analysis and the development of more efficient mechanisms for managing telecommunications and information technology infrastructure. Furthermore, the course focused on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications and highlighting the importance of transitioning from traditional network management to automated and intelligent management models based on programming and integration between network systems and devices, in line with the rapid advancements in network engineering and information technology. This course comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, to supporting scientific and specialized activities, enhancing technical skills, and keeping pace with modern technologies. These efforts contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
