The healthcare sector is undergoing a rapid digital transformation, relying on smart systems and vital network infrastructure to improve the quality of healthcare and provide precise and immediate treatment. This intensive reliance on modern technologies has opened the door to serious cyber threats that can affect patients' lives and directly impact the security of their data and privacy. The greatest danger lies in the fact that cyberattacks no longer target only database breaches and the leakage of personal information, but are now capable of remotely disabling life support and vital monitoring equipment. Internet-connected medical devices, such as insulin pumps, pacemakers, and diagnostic systems, are easy targets if they are not designed according to strict and continuously updated security standards. Securing these complex systems requires a comprehensive strategy that begins with advanced data encryption during transmission and storage to ensure that data cannot be stolen or tampered with. Digital security also includes the use of multi-factor authentication mechanisms to manage access privileges, preventing unauthorized access to critical hospital networks. Smart software powered by artificial intelligence plays a pivotal role in monitoring suspicious activity and analyzing abnormal network behavior in real time to take immediate preventative measures. In addition, operating systems must be continuously updated, and software vulnerabilities in older medical devices, which were not originally designed to withstand modern threats, must be patched. It is crucial to isolate sensitive medical networks from the public internet to prevent attacks from secondary devices from spreading to patients' direct operating systems. Maintaining cybersecurity in the medical field is not limited to the technical aspect; it also includes training medical and administrative staff in security awareness to avoid falling victim to attacks and developing rapid response plans. These preventative measures contribute to building a safe healthcare environment that enhances patients' confidence in modern technologies and ensures the continuity of uninterrupted medical services. In this regard, leading academic and educational institutions are focusing on these modern specializations and training promising generations capable of protecting and developing technological systems in various vital sectors.
