The College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled **“Physiology of Hearing in Humans”**, delivered by the Head of the Surgery Branch, Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdul Hussein Mazhar, a specialist in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), at the College of Medicine halls. The workshop provided a scientific overview of the physiological mechanisms underlying the process of hearing in humans. It also explained the anatomical structure and functional roles of the outer, middle, and inner ear, highlighting how sound waves are received, transmitted, and converted into nerve impulses that travel through the auditory nerve to the auditory centers in the brain, where they are processed and interpreted. The workshop aimed to deepen understanding of the physiological aspects of hearing and enhance awareness of the close relationship between the anatomical structure and physiological functions of the auditory system. It also sought to connect scientific concepts with medical and clinical applications, thereby building a solid knowledge foundation that supports the understanding of hearing disorders and their diagnostic mechanisms. This workshop reflects the commitment of the Deanship of the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University to diversifying its scientific and specialized activities and providing an interactive learning environment that enriches medical knowledge and keeps pace with the requirements of modern medical education. Such initiatives contribute to improving the quality of educational outcomes and promoting health awareness, in alignment with **Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).**
