As part of its efforts to promote social awareness and reinforce the principles of equality, justice, and peace, the Department of Radiological Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an awareness workshop entitled "Enhancing Women's Role in Security and Peace" on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The workshop was delivered by specialist physician Dr. Zeinab Ali Hussein. The workshop aimed to highlight the pivotal role of women in promoting community security and stability, emphasizing the importance of their active participation in fostering a culture of peace, tolerance, and dialogue, as well as strengthening their representation in decision-making processes and their contribution to building safe and stable communities based on justice, equal opportunities, and respect for rights. The discussions also addressed the importance of women's empowerment, enhancing their community participation, reducing inequalities, and promoting shared responsibility in creating an environment characterized by understanding and peaceful coexistence. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), reaffirming Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment to supporting awareness initiatives and promoting equality, peace, and sustainable development.
