With High Competitive Spirit and Environmental Awareness… Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Cycling Marathon as Part of the “Future Ambassadors for Sustainability” Activities

In an enthusiastic atmosphere reflecting positive competition and environmental awareness, Al-Mustaqbal University organized a cycling marathon as part of the “Al-Mustaqbal Ambassadors for Sustainability” Camp, held from October 17–18, 2025, at Babylon Tourist Resort. The event saw broad local and international participation, highlighting community engagement and the growing interest in sustainability concepts. The marathon was held under the patronage and presence of the Governor of Babylon, Mr. Adnan Faihan Al-Dulaimi, and under the direct supervision of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi. It also included participation from a distinguished group of college deans, vice presidents, government officials, faculty members, and students, alongside the President of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in Türkiye and his accompanying delegation, as well as a large public turnout from the Babylon community. The race featured a lively competitive spirit, through which participants expressed their commitment to promoting a culture of sustainable transportation and eco-friendly sports—a clear message emphasizing that sustainability is a comprehensive lifestyle combining health, environment, and social responsibility. At the conclusion of the marathon, the top ten winners were honored for their excellence and performance. The event received widespread praise for its role in raising awareness through the “Future Ambassadors for Sustainability” Camp, enhancing teamwork, fostering environmental consciousness, and instilling values of collective responsibility among youth, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of cultivating a conscious and responsible generation
