Al-Mustaqbal University Strengthens National Partnerships by Signing Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Agreements on the Sidelines of EURAS Academy 2026

In a strategic step reflecting its commitment to expanding academic cooperation and enhancing integration among Iraqi universities, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, signed a series of scientific and cultural cooperation agreements with several well-established Iraqi universities, including University of Mosul, Al-Mustansiriya University, Northern Technical University, Southern Technical University, and Al-Nisour University. The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the EURAS Academy 2026 Forum.
The agreements were concluded with the presidents of the respective universities: Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul; Professor Dr. Safaa Taqi Al-Issawi, President of Al-Mustansiriya University; Professor Dr. Aliaa Al-Attar, President of Northern Technical University; Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, President of Southern Technical University; and Professor Dr. Abdul Jawad Al-Amiri, President of Al-Nisour University.
These agreements were signed during the forum organized by Al-Mustaqbal University in partnership with the Eurasian Universities Union (EURASIA), which is considered the first global scientific and academic event of its kind to be held at the level of Iraqi universities. The forum served as an international academic platform for exchanging expertise and building institutional partnerships between local and international universities.
The signed cooperation agreements encompass several areas of mutual interest, foremost among them the implementation of joint scientific research projects, exchange of faculty members, joint supervision of postgraduate students, organization of scientific conferences and specialized workshops, collaboration in international rankings, quality assurance systems and academic accreditation, as well as the implementation of joint student activities.
Al-Mustaqbal University affirmed that these agreements represent an advanced step toward consolidating effective national partnerships and enhancing the standing of Iraqi universities in regional and international academic forums, in line with its vision to advance the quality of higher education, support scientific research, and achieve sustainable development in the academic sector.
