Working on The Best Scenarios for Collaboration and Training

The Director of the Engineering Unit, Mr. Abul Ridha Shakir Majdi, Dr. Azher M. Abed, and representatives from the Future Society for Energy Studies and Research participated in the training course on Renewable Energies for the period from 1 to 14 July 2019 in St. Petersburg - Russia within the framework of the joint cooperation agreement with Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University (LETI).
The training program included theoretical and practical lectures on Renewable Energy sources, their history and prospects. It also expands on the basics and principles of photovoltaics, basic materials for solar photovoltaic transformers and their diagnosis methods, as well as the designing of equipments and automating solar power plants.
Experiences and perspectives were exchanged with the participating professors and trainees from France, China, Tanzania, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Myanmar and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the participants obtained training certificates after the successful completion of the course.
From his side, the college delegation had a meeting with Dr. Anastasia Andreevna Minina, Vice President of International Affairs and the University's international team, who indicated, “We are very pleased to see you in our university for the second time and we would like to continue the development of the cooperation prospects in various fields of activities. In addition to summer schooling, students of Al-Mustaqbal University College can attend our university for winter schooling, Master's Programs which are taught in English, internships, and continuing education programs. We are interested in joint research and development, and we invite you to participate in our scientific conferences and research publishing.
Dr. Hamza Mohammed Ridha Al-Khafaji, who supervised the creation and implementation of the agreements, indicated that, "We need to work on the best cooperation scenarios as Al-Mustaqbal University College has entered the International Rankings which have great importance and we must go to activate mutual academic visits, research fellowships, develop the staff and the students as well and cooperate in the field of the digital library." , During the meeting, the golden partner shield was handed over to the aforementioned university.
The Dean of the College, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, praised the successful achievement of the delegation, which was at the level of responsibility and high concern to achieve the goals and their future contributions in bringing a revolution to build a scientific cultural edifice in Babil Province that would be a ray for the region to build the modern Iraq.
