A UOMUS delegation presided by Prof. Dr. Ali Shaalan Al-Araji, Head of Medical Labs Technologies Department, and constituted of the rapporteurs Dr. Fatima Hashim Abbas and Dr. Thulfiqar Ahmed Hamza has participated in the meeting congregated at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University by the Deans Committee of Health & Medical Specialties
This meeting has widely discussed the assessment exams of the Medical Labs Department and the materials that shall be included for the Academic Year 2022 – 2023, starting from the Second Year onwards. Both annual and semester systems have also been investigated for the purpose of consolidating the educational process between Public and Private Universities.
It is remarkable to note that the participators have addressed a number of issues, including an exam mechanism, the requirements leading to success of these exams, distribution of responsibilities among Deans and Heads of Departments, in addition to concluding twining agreements with Public or Private Universities, which have to be determined as per geographical area.
Besides, the mechanisms that ensure success of Assessment Exams through the process of unifying curricula and study programs of the related universities have been raised through discussions and exchange of viewpoints.
The meeting has also included a lecture on the Exams Mechanism, being delivered in accordance with the directives of the Supervision & Scientific Evaluation Department at the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research. The lecture has been dealing with several essential topics, such as test form design, type of questions, correcting system, and the devices required for achieving ideal success.
