On the Occasion of the World Anesthesia Day, Al-Mustaqbal University College Organizes

The First International Forum for Medical & Anesthesia Technologies

Under the guardianship of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, and as recommended by Zahraa Halim Al-Qayyim, Head of Anesthesia Techniques Department, the First International Forum for Medical & Anesthesia Technologies has been organized by Al-Mustaqbal University College and in cooperation with the United Iraqi Medical Association in the United Kingdom & Ireland.
It is remarkable to note that the Forum was congregated on Sunday, 16th October 2022, being the World Anesthesia Day, in which the first successful surgery with the use of anesthesia was performed in 1846 AD. It should be noted as well that a large number of Academics, Doctors, Anesthesia Technicians with the Director of Marjan Hospital, Dr. Fadhil Al-Sultani have attended the Forum.
During the Forum, a number of lectures have been delivered by specialists of different majors from outside Iraq, including

 Dr. Ali Ibrahim Rasoul, Germany
 Dr. Muaid Ismail Aziz, England
Whereas from inside Iraq
 Dr. Muhammad Sami Al-Khafaji, Consultant of Anesthesia & Intensive Care
 Dr. Ahmed Al-Ibrahimi, Head of Oncology Center
 Dr. Habib Shihayib Ahmed, Kufa University
 Dr. Majid Dayim Al-Hassani, Head of Anesthesia Department at Al-Sadr Hospital
These lectures have dealt with the latest achievements in the field of Medicine & Anesthesia Technologies.
We are obliged to note as well that the students of Anesthesia Techniques Department have had their own activities in the Forum, exhibiting pictures and paintings that tell the history of Anesthesia as a humanitarian profession with its undeniable services.
For her part, Dr. Zahraa Al-Qayyim has clarified the Forum objective is to keep pace with the progress in the fields of Medicine & Anesthesia Technologies, being quite essential for promoting Health Services in Iraq. Moreover, the Forum provides an appropriate environment for Academics and Specialists to exchange ideas and research, identifying meanwhile the risks associated with Anesthesia so as to properly avoided, adopting safer procedures and more feasible treatment for diseases. Indeed, all medical specialists agree that Anesthesia is considered as one of three outstanding events in the history of Medicine along with discovery of the needle / injection and the Genetic Engineering.
At the end of the Forum, all participators have been appreciated by the Dean of Al-Mustaqbal College.
