Under the guardianship of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, and with the attendance of Babylon Governor, Mr. Wisam Aslan, accompanied by Assist Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, the Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Mr. Muhammad Zugam, Head of Babylon Investment, the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd UOMUS Recruitment Fair was performed at BDC Mall, on Friday Evening, 11th November, 2022.
It is considerable to note that a large number of Companies Owners and graduates of different majors have attended the Fair.
In a speech delivered by the Deputy Dean, he emphasized that Al-Mustaqbal University College is keen on receiving and welcoming those who are in charge of recruiting and conducting initial interviews. The Fair indeed provides opportunities for companies to meet with students, talk to them about their viewpoints, and replying to potential questions regarding, for example, the grade and the practical experience that is necessary for sharpening skills so as to be qualified for the local market requirements. He added that the Fair is deemed part of the College Program that aims to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 17, the one that focuses on partnership for the goals.
The Fair has included a Dialogue Session, administered by the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-Up Unit. In a comment, Eng. Ms. Rusul Sattar Badr clarified that Al-Mustaqbal University College has been striving to provide its students with decent job opportunities with which they may chart their future after graduation. In addition to that, Ms Rusul has confirmed that Al-Mustaqbal University College has plans to participate in other Recruitment Fairs everywhere in Iraq in order to support and encourage the latent energies of young people, being an essential step towards a better future.
