Under the Guardianship of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, First Annual Bazaar for Handicrafts & Heritage was Launched on Saturday 25th February 2023. More than 100 Participants, men and women, have displayed their various handicrafts in the Bazaar.
We should note that the College Students have actively participated in the Bazaar with their products & designs, including knitting, embroidery, cooking, painting on glass and miniature objects. Besides, there have been Traditional Babylonian Shows performed at the Opening Ceremony of the Bazaar.
Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, has emphasized the necessity of supporting Local Products by organizing these exhibitions, which create unique opportunities for displaying handicrafts, and encouraging Students to show up their creative talents in this field.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Hasan Shakir, Head of Student Activities Division, has clarified that arrangement of such Regular Bazaars, shall undoubtedly lead to establishing an appropriate environment, in which our students would be able to exhibit their products and sell them as well in order to financially benefit from the whole process. Meanwhile, these Bazaars shall enable young people of small projects to display and market their products.
Finally, we are obliged to note that many visitors, in addition to the College Students have attended the bazaar on its first day, and it will proceed for two days more.
