Under the Guardianship of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, Psychological Counseling & Educational Guidance Unit, and in cooperation with the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency, Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Babylon Governorate, has organized an Educational Seminar on

“Phenomenon of Drug Abuse & Electronic Extortion Crimes”
It is remarkable to note that the Seminar Lectures have been delivered by Dr. Hussein Waheed Al-Kaabi, Colonel Haidar Khalaf Muhsin and Mr. Ahmed Chasib, in which the perilous and serious impact of drugs on the Nervous System and the whole body in general have been widely investigated, and meanwhile clarifying the means of persuasion and promotion used by Drug Dealers, emphasizing that Prevention is better than Treatment, though Cure Methods are available for addicted persons.
Some of the most important recommendations proposed by the Symposium are the necessity to legislate very strict Laws to punish Perpetrators of Drug Crimes, with the emphasis on the role of the Family and Educational Institutions in raising awareness against Drug Dangers. Moreover, there is a need to address unemployment and create job opportunities for young people.
