Launching the First Student Forum for Medical Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University

On Saturday 13th May 2023, and under the Guardianship of Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the First Student Forum for Medical Engineering has been launched at the Central Student Activities Court, with the attendance of Assist Prof Dr. Munthir Fadhil Hassan, the University President Assistant for Administrative Affairs, in addition to Assist Prof Dr. Azher M. Abid, Dean of Engineering & Technology College, and Engineer Mr. Zaman Ali Musa, Head of Engineers Syndicate of Babylon with a group of the University Academics.
The Opening Ceremony of the Forum has started with a short speech delivered by the Student Ali Riyadh Tayih, in which he has talked about the Forum, and then followed by another speech given by the Forum Administrator the Student Tabarak Hamid Raheem.
We are obliged to note as well that Engineer Mr. Zaman Ali Musa has expressed the Syndicate readiness to provide any possible support to the Forum and its various activities. Several speeches have been delivered after that representing Engineering College Deanship, and Heads of Bio-Medical Engineering Department, Medical Devices as well as Smart Systems.
Celebrated Personalities have been honored by Assist Prof. Dr. Munthir Fadhil Hassan, and they are
1. Dr. Hussein Tokan;
2. Medical Engineer Mr. Muhammad Al-Yasiri; and
3. Medical Engineer Mr Safaa Aboud.
Part of the Forum Program, the Students Hawraa Qasim Farhan and Qasim Majeed have delivered an Introductory Lecture entitled

“Medical Engineering: A Sparkle for the Future”

Google Developers Team of Babylon University have participated in another activity, in which they introduced their pioneering experience. After that, a Workshop has been conducted by the Student Ali Aqeel, in which he has talked about Nano Technology & Electronics.
The Forum indeed has been an opportunity for Engineer Mr. Haidar Mohammad, Head of Warith Derman Center for Prosthetics in Al-Hussainiya Holy Shrine, to talk about his personal experience, having a physical handicap as his right leg has been amputated due to being exposed to an explosive, and he was forced to live and accept the idea of wearing a smart prosthetic leg, hoping for the continuation of life despite the challenge and the psychological impact that he has managed to overcame with difficulty.
At the end of the Forum, Assist Prof Dr. Azher M. Abid, Dean of Engineering College, has honored the participators with University Shields.
