On the Occasion of “World Bee Day”, that has been determined on 20th of May by the United Nations, and in implementation to the Directives of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, a Celebration has been conducted at our University, which includes Workshops and Awareness Lectures, focusing on the role of bees in the Pollination Process and Effect of that on the Agricultural Production. Moreover, there have been demos & exhibits displaying honey as well as other bee products.
It should be noted however that Al-Mustaqbal University is highly committed in protecting bees due to their essential role in our life, and in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Accordingly, our University does encourage Farmers and Agricultural Community to adopt and use Bee Friendly Techniques, and providing all required support in the application of Sustainable Practices that aim to create and maintain suitable environment for Bees World.
As a matter of fact, “World bee Day” can be taken as an opportunity for raising awareness and interacting with the Global Community in regard to Bees contribution in preserving Biodiversity and provision of Sustainable Food. Thus, Al-Mustaqbal University does reflect its Social and Environmental Commitments towards reinforcement of Sustainable Agricultural Production.
