Assist Prof. Dr. Azher M. Abid, Dean of Engineering & Technology College chaired a Meeting to the College Council on Monday Morning 22nd May 2023.
At the beginning of the Meeting, the Dean has welcomed the Council Members, his Deputies, and the Secretariat. After that, several issues related to the Directives of the Ministry as well as those of the University Presidency have been discussed and as follows:
First: Directives of the Deputy Minister for Scientific Affairs, regarding establishment of Research & Higher Studies Centres, in addition to Sober Scientific Journals as well as activating Leadership Projects and Business Incubators.
Second: Directives of the University Presidency, and they can be summarized in the following items:
1. Emphasizing Scientific Cooperation, signing Agreements with Local and International Universities, as well as strengthening Partnerships in the Field of Empirical Applied Research.
2. Preparing all Final Exams Requirements, including distribution of seating charts, adherence to attendance and other Exam Instructions.
3. Formation of an Operations Room, headed by Deputy President for Administrative Affairs, to be responsible for Supervising Progress of Exams.
4. Approval of establishing Sustainable Energy Research Unit and Medical Materials Research Unit.
5. Preparing the Engineering Accreditation Conformity Report for the included Departments.
6. Ratification of the Scientific Cooperation Agreement that has been signed between the College of Engineering and Energy Research Center at Al-Nahrain University.
At the end of the Meeting, the Dean has thanked the College Council Members, appreciating all the efforts they exert in service of the College and University.
