Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the Conference Organized by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research on Bologna Process

It is considerable to note that Al-Mustaqbal University has participated in the Conference Organized by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research on the Application Bologna Process at the Technical Universities in Iraq. We should note that the Conference has been conducted in cooperation with the European Union Mission and the UNESCO Office in Baghdad.
In the Presence of the European Union and UNESCO Representatives, in addition to the Prime Minister's Advisor, Dr. Hamid Khalaf, with a number of Deputies, Advisors, Presidents of Public and Private Universities, General Directors, and an Elite Group of Academics and Specialists, His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research has announced in his Speech about the success of implementing Bologna Process at the Technical Universities, confirming at the same time the readiness of more than 600 Departments of Engineering & Science Colleges to adopt Bologna Process, starting from the current Academic Year 2023/2024.
He added that Higher Education System, with its Universities & Institutions have become part of an Ambitious and Effective Vision and Program linked to the Globalization of Academic Events, and it shall not be far from the Circle of Internationalization of Education, pointing out that these climates shall make Education Sustainable, placing Universities directly in front of their Responsibilities to benefit from Global Experiences, and in Cooperation with the European Union as well as the UNESCO, being part of a Strategic Partnership that shall extend into Future Decades.
For his part, the UNESCO Advisor for Technical and Vocational Education and Training Reform, Mr. Tim Myzin, has confirmed his Support to the Decision that has been taken by Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which focuses on implementing Bologna Process at Universities, being a Revolutionary Process towards a Radical Reform in the Educational Environment at the Program Level as well as the Institutional Efficiency and its System.
Finally, we are obliged to note that the Conference has witnessed several activities, including a Presentation on Bologna Process delivered by the UNESCO Advisor Ms. Anne Katherine Isaacs, as well as a number of Sessions related to implementing Bologna Process, Designing Curricula, and Quality System, being conducted by Specialists representing the four Technical Universities. On the other hand, the UNESCO Program Specialist Dr. Anas Bou Hilal has reviewed the UNESCO’s Agreements on Educational Qualifications. Meanwhile a Panel Discussion has been organized on the implementation of Bologna Process at Iraqi Universities, with the participation of the Presidents of Central Technical University and Middle Euphrates Technical University, in addition to a number of UNESCO Advisors and experts, all together with the Ministry’s Advisor, Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan.
