Under the Guardianship of Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, being supervised by Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayim, Dean of Technology & Health Sciences College, and in cooperation with Babylon Health Department, the College has organized an Awareness Campaign on the Occasion of World AIDS Day where certain Brochures have distributed, in addition to holding a Scientific Symposium entitled
"World AIDS Day: Disease Prevention & Detection"
The Symposium Lecture has been delivered by Dr. Ali Alwash, Director of the Immunodeficiency Disease Control Division, in which he has talked about Methods that can be adopted in detecting and preventing the disease, how it is transmitted, and the most important Directives of World Health Organization against AIDS.
For her part, Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayim has clarified that the purpose behind commemorating World AIDS Day on the First of December is mainly to raise awareness among Societies everywhere in the World about the Disease of Aids, and secondly to urge for International Solidarity to combat this Epidemic.
