In Implementation to the Directives of Engineer Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq, Al-Mustaqbal University has hosted the Activities of Arab Youth Poet in its Second Version, being organized by The Ministry of Youth & Sports with the participation of 40 Poets & Poetesses.
It is remarkable to note that the Festival has been attended by Engineer Mr. Wisam Aslan, Governor of Babylon, Dr. Fa'is Taha Salim, Director General of the Department of Youth Culture and Arts, in addition to the Director of Youth and Sports as well as Head of Authors & Writers Union in Babylon.
For his part, Assist Prof. Dr. Munthir Fadhil Hassan, President Assistant for administrative affairs, has clarified that Al-Mustaqbal University has been always inclined to host such Events due to its belief in the Sublime Message of Literature in bringing Cultures together and breaking down barriers.
An Elite of Poets and Poetesses from Iraq and Arab Countries have recited their Poems, expressing their feelings in love of their countries, in addition to addressing other social issues. Besides, the Festival has witnessed a Session for Signing the Book of the Young Poet Kawkab Al-Zabati. After that, the Delegation Members have been taken in a Tour through the University Campus.
Finally, we are obliged to note that the Festival Activities were launched in Baghdad on Monday 11th December 2023 and lasting until Monday 18th December 2023.
