Al-Mustaqbal University obtains the Membership of "United Nations Academic Impact, UNAI"

We would like to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has announced that the University has obtained the Membership of
"United Nations Academic Impact Program"
It is remarkable to note that UNAI Program does include the Membership of 1,610 Academic Institutions coming from 156 Countries. Thus, Al-Mustaqbal University shall be the First University at the Level of Private Universities, and the Fourth at the Level of Public Universities to obtain Membership at the aforementioned Program. UNAI Program however aims to qualify Universities to work with the United Nations for the purpose of promoting Global Priorities, including Peace, Human Rights and Development. Approval has been obtained to use the UNAI Membership Logo at the University Website and all Materials related to the Activities carried out as a Member of UNAI.
The University President has clarified in a Statement released to University Media that the United Nations Academic Impact Program is an initiative that aims to align Higher Education institutions with the United Nations, so that they would actively participate in achieving the UN Goals, which include developing, and protecting Human Rights, providing Education for all, in addition to Sustainability, and Conflict Resolutions.
Besides, He has also confirmed in his Speech that Al-Mustaqbal University Membership in the United Nations Academic Impact Program is considered quite vital and important in the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, being an essential part of the University’s Strategic Plan, as they do serve as incubators for ideas, inventions, and new solutions to a number of global challenges that we face. The United Nations Academic Impact Initiative provides a unifying link to Academic Stakeholders, ensuring that the International Community directs Young People Energy and Inventions as well as their attempts in the Field of Scientific Research, and that is for serving Humanity.
For his part Prof Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at the University Presidency, has stated that the United Nations Academic Impact Program supports and develops Ten Basic Principles, according to which, it is committed to
Addressing Poverty Issues through Education;
Promoting Capacity of Higher Education Systems around the World;
Providing Educational Opportunities to all people without any discrimination based on Gender, Race, Religion, or Ethnicity;
Promoting Global Citizenship through Education;
Providing Educational Opportunities to every individual who aspires to complete his Higher Studies;
Paying more attention to Human Rights, which include Freedom of Inquiry and Expression of Opinions;
Promoting Cross-Cultural Dialogue, Responsiveness, and Avoidance of Intolerance;
Spreading Culture of Peace and Peaceful Resolutions to Conflicts;
Promoting and enhancing the Concept of Sustainability through Education;
Respecting the Principles set forth in the UN Charter.
Finally, we are obliged to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Al-Mustaqbal University President, has congratulated the University Academics, Employees and Students for this Qualitative Achievement, appreciating at the same time all efforts exerted by all the Scientific and Administrative Circles that have contributed in this notable and distinguished accomplishment.
