It is remarkable to note that Al-Mustaqbal University has been ranked in the First Place among Private Colleges and Universities in Iraq, taking into consideration that more than 12,000 Universities have been participating in the Spanish Webometrics Ranking, which is issued by the Spanish Scientific Research Council.
However, Webometrics Ranking is based in its evaluation on three main criteria: Visibility Extent of the University, with a weight of 50%, which depends on the Content of University Website and Number of External Links, in addition to Transparency, with a weight of 10%, and it is calculated based on the number of Citations it receives. The Third Criterion is related to the most cited University Researchers, as well as their distinction with a weight of 40%, and it is measured by Number of Research Papers ranked among the top 10% of the most cited papers during the period 2019-2023.
It is worth noting that the Classification has included Data Analysis for more than 32,000 Higher Education Institutions from more than 200 Countries, as the Editors of the Classification Network are Scientists working in a World-Class Public Research Institution and having long experience in Standards-Oriented Evaluation.
Moreover, the Classification Network, or Webometrics, is considered as one of the largest Academic Ranking of Higher Education Institutions, as it submits every six months an Independent, Objective, Free and Open Scientific Exercise to provide Reliable, Multidimensional, Updated and Useful Information regarding Universities Performance from all over the world, and the Primary Goal of the Classification Network is to promote open access to knowledge produced by these Universities, keeping in mind that the best strategy to improve Universities Ranks is to increase the quantity and quality of their Web Contents.
