Once More, Al-Mustaqbal University comes up with another Scientific Achievement added to the series of Accomplishments and Successes embodying its Immortal Journey. This time, as many times before, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has been Ranked Third, and for the third time in Iraq among Top 500 Researchers regarding Scientific Output for the period 2019-2025. The News however has been recently issued by SciVal Foundation Bulletin.
It is remarkable to note that the number of Research Papers registered on Scopus has amounted to 302, while Citations have reached 2679, with an average of 8.9 per search. Besides, Scientific Research Index (h-index) has been 27, indicating a high level in terms of Research Output Size, as well as its Quality & Impact Degree.
On another level, Al-Mustaqbal University has been Ranked First among Private Universities and Thirteenth among 182 Universities and Institutions in Iraq regarding Scientific Output Size after recording 4,365 Papers on Scopus, according to SciVal Foundation Bulletin issued at the end of October 2024.
The same Bulletin has also indicated that Number of Citations obtained by the University has reached 30,019, while the Value of Field-Weighted Citations Impact (FWCI), which represents the Citations Ratio to Research Output in the Evaluation Year to the Citation Rate for the three previous years, being 1.59. This factor indicates the solidity of Research Output and is positively affected by the extent of International Cooperation in the Field of Research. Moreover, it is also considered a clear indicator for success, and indicating that the University Research has been cited as expected when compared to the Global Average of similar publications.
It is worth noting that Al-Mustaqbal University Presidency has indeed paid special attention to Sound Scientific Research by creating an Ideal Research Environment for Researchers, and in a way that would lead to achieving High-Quality Research published in the Most Influential Journals Q1 and Q2, undoubtedly having an essential role in the strengthening of Higher Education Reputation in Iraq and embodying the Ministry Policy.
