Under the Guardianship of Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, a Specialized Scientific Workshop has been hosted at the University being entitled
"Role of Strategic Planning in the Promotion of National Accreditation"

It is remarkable to note that this Workshop has been organized by the National Council for Program Accreditation of Health Technology Colleges and Institutes in Iraq, in coordination with the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation.
The Workshop Opening Ceremony has been launched with a Speech delivered by Prof Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi. Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Al-Mustaqbal University, in which he has conveyed the Greetings of the University President to all Attendees wishing that the Workshop would achieve Success & Assigned Goals.
Besides, he has referred in his Speech to Strategic Planning, which constitutes the cornerstone for implementing any activity, including those related to achieving and ensuring quality after meeting all Accreditation Requirements. Meanwhile, he has emphasized that Accreditation Process is based on four aspects, and these are Professor, Student, Curriculum, as well as the Academic and Educational Environment. These components indeed do form the Eight Standards of the National Programmatic and Institutional Accreditation.
Furthermore, Prof Dr. Al-Zuhairi has pointed out that Accreditation Achievement is not an easy matter, as it requires more hard work and follow-up, and it cannot be carried out through individual efforts, but rather needs Permanent and Continuous Efforts of a Team who highly believe in the concept of quality, simply because this quality can only be achieved through a process of on-going improvement. He has invited attendees to exchange and share visions, with the aim of spreading the benefit in a way that would cover all related parties.
We are obliged to note that Two Lectures have been delivered during the Workshop, one by Prof Dr. Shukriya Shadhan Al-Ugaili, Chairman of the National Council for Program Accreditation of Health Technology Colleges and Institutes, entitled “National Strategies and Plans for Performance Improvement,” whereas the other delivered by Assist Prof Dr. Hawraa Natiq Kabrot, the Council Rapporteur, being entitled “Procedural Steps in the Application of Programmatic Accreditation Methodology.”
It is worth noting that the Workshop has witnessed the presence of an elite group of Academics and Specialists representing Health & Medical Technology Colleges of both Public and Private Universities. As a matter of fact, such diverse attendance can be taken as an evidence for the great importance of Strategic Planning and National Accreditation, simply because the Workshop has formed a Platform for Interaction and Fruitful Discussions on Quality Enhancement in the Field of Health & Technical Education.
It should be noted after all that the Workshop aims to clarify the importance of strategic planning as an effective tool in the enhancement of National Accreditation Standards at Health & Medical Colleges and Institutes, with the coverage of several issues that shall be widely investigated in line with the Accreditation Standards that would undoubtedly contribute in raising Level of Efficiency and Quality of Academic and Educational Performance.
