We would like to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has received Engineer Mr. Sarmad Ali Jabir Al-Awadi, Director General of Middle Euphrates Electricity Distribution Company, who has been on a Scientific Visit to the University, in the Presence of Prof Dr. Munthir Fadhil Hassan, the President Assistant for Administrative Affairs. Prof Dr. Majdi has expressed his deep appreciation for the ongoing efforts exerted by Mr. Al-Awadi in order to develop Electricity Distribution Sector in the Middle Euphrates Governorates, and praising his keenness to strengthen Technical and Engineering Cadres Scientifically and Academically so as to achieve the Sustainable Goals in the Distribution of Electrical Energy.
During his Visit, Engineer Sarmad Ali Jabir Al-Awadi has had a Meeting with Assist Prof Dr. Azher Muhsin Abid, Dean of Engineering College in the attendance of a group of Academics, and they have discussed all possible measures to enhance Joint Cooperation between the Company and the College, in a way that would contribute to the Development and Qualification of Young Engineers, and thus meeting Labor Market Requirements. Besides, Mr. Al-Awadi has been taken in a Tour through the Engineering Departments, where he has viewed Engineering Workshops and Classrooms, and during that, visions have been exchanged on the Latest Technical and Engineering Methods. Meanwhile the Guest has praised the College efforts in preparing a Distinguished Generation of Engineering Cadres that are capable of keeping pace with the Developments in the Sector of Electricity and Energy.
We are obliged to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi has stressed during the Meeting on the importance of strengthening Joint Cooperation between the University and the Middle Euphrates Electricity Distribution Company, focusing on the vital role of the Academic Sector in supporting and developing Engineering Technical Cadres, in addition to the necessity of organizing Workshops and Seminars related to rationalizing Electrical Energy Consumption and thus spreading Awareness among Students and Faculty Members about Optimal Use of Energy in a way that would promote the Culture of Rationalization and Achievement of Energy Sustainability.
The Visit has been concluded with exchange of Words of Thanks and Appreciation, where Engineer Sarmad Ali Jabir Al-Awadi has expressed his Gratitude for the Warm Welcome, confirming the readiness of the Middle Euphrates Electricity Distribution Company to support any Academic Initiative that would participate in the Development of the Electricity Sector, and enhances Partnership between the Two Parties on behalf of serving Local Community in general.
