We would like to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has announced that the University has managed to achieve remarkable progress in the Times Higher Education of Arab University Rankings 2024, moving ahead for Eight Positions compared to previous version.
According to the aforementioned Ranking, Al-Mustaqbal University has been ranked 15th out of 45 Iraqi Universities that have appeared in the Classification, whereas it has been ranked 121st among 238 Arab Universities instead of 161st Rank that it has occupied in the Edition of 2023.
As a matter of fact, Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research has announced on its Official Website that Iraq has topped the Countries in the Number of Universities that have appeared in the Ranking as Thirty-One Iraqi Universities have managed to achieve positive results among the Best Ranked Universities in the Arab Region. This Progress can be taken after all as an indicator of the University Impact at both Arab and Local Levels. Such Reputation and Influence are obviously reflected through its Scientific Research, which plays vital role in solving Societal Issues.
The University President has clarified that this Classification is based indeed on a set of criteria, which include Quality of Scientific Research, its Environment, and Quality of Education, as well as the Academic Reputation, all along with the University Role in Serving Community.
Besides, the Classification Results have confirmed that Al-Mustaqbal University has managed to achieve the Second Place at the level of Iraq in Quality of Scientific Research, reflecting meanwhile the University’s Superiority in the provision of Distinguished Research, which plays a main role in finding solutions to real problems at various sectors.
Finally, it is worth noting that Prof Dr. Majdi has appreciated all efforts exerted by Academic and Administrative Departments, including Professors, Affiliates, and Students that have actively contributed in this achievement, calling for more hard work that would embody the University Vision, Mission, and Goals.
