Al-Mustaqbal University Proceeds Activities on the Occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Week

Under the Guardianship and Presence of His Excellency Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and on the Occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the University has been proceeding Activities for the second day, where a Dialogue Session has been convened on the Concept of Entrepreneurship and Business Incubators, being attended by Academics, Employees, and Students, in addition to Representatives of Private Sector.
It is considerable to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Al-Mustaqbal University President, has focused in the Speech he has delivered during the Session on the importance of Riyada Initiative that has been launched by the Prime Minister, confirming its main objective that aims to supporting Youth in creating their own projects, clarifying that the University shall be quite committed to provide Support and Advice in transforming Promising Ideas as well as Graduation Projects into reality. Thus, the University shall contribute to the Growth of National Economy, reducing meanwhile Unemployment, and providing Real Job Opportunities. In another aspect of his Speech, Prof Dr. Majdi has referred to a number of examples of Entrepreneurial Projects and Business Incubators in some countries in the world.
For his part, Prof Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, being in the position of chairing the Dialogue Session, has pointed out that Riyada Initiative does not mean search for Job Opportunities, but rather creating new ones through the adoption of Creative Ideas and Initiatives and referring them to real projects. Besides, he has referred to the Concept of Business Incubators at Universities, emphasizing their essential role in the ratification of new ideas whether in the form of Scientific Research, Graduation Projects, or Patents that could be marketed to Industrial Sector.
On the other hand, Al-Zuhairi has focused on a number of elements that are highly required to achieve success of those who have plans to enter the world of entrepreneurship, especially the ability of adaptation to circumstances in a changing world witnessing rapid progress in Technology, all along with the importance of Relationships and Communication with others, Sharing Ideas, Working in a Team Spirit, as well as understanding the World of Finance so that one could develop his own strategies for implementing projects being categorized under the Concept of Entrepreneurship.
We are obliged to note as well that the Session has witnessed a Presentation regarding some Iranian Universities Experiences in the Field of Technology Incubators, delivered by Dr. Musaddaq Mahir, a Lecturer at College of Engineering &Technology, who has recently participated in the Ministerial Delegation that has visited a number of Iranian Universities to learn about their experience in this Field.
There is no doubt that the Private Sector has had a Distinguished Presence during the Discussion Session, where Representatives of the Aswar Companies Group and Shopper Company have reviewed a number of Success Stories that have ended with the invitation of Students and Graduates to think about their own projects and benefit from the support provided by Al-Mustaqbal University as well as Private Sector enthusiasm to embrace any promising idea that might constitute a Pioneering Project
For her part, Ms. Rusul Sattar, Head of Rehabilitation & Employment Division at the University, has indicated that a Program full of Activities and Events related to Global Entrepreneurship Week has been prepared by the Division, which include Discussion Panels, Review of Global Experiences, Workshops, Innovative Product Exhibitions, and Awareness Campaigns that would encourage Young People to create their own Projects and join Reyada Initiative Courses that are conducted by the University Presidency.
