Al-Mustaqbal University Hosts the President of the Northern Technical University and Signs a Scientific and Cultural Cooperation Agreement Along with a Protocol for a Joint Conference

As part of the initiatives led by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of
Al-Mustaqbal University, and in line with the Ministry’s policies to foster collaboration between public and private universities,
Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, along with her accompanying delegation. The visit aimed to explore avenues of cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
Prof. Dr. Majdi warmly welcomed the visiting delegation, emphasizing the importance of partnerships between the two universities to positively impact academic and administrative performance through the exchange of expertise, success stories, and the enhancement of scientific reputation locally and internationally.
In her remarks, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar expressed her pride in partnering with
Al-Mustaqbal University, highlighting its excellent reputation and high performance, which positions it as a leader in private education in Iraq and a respected institution among public universities.
During the visit, a scientific and cultural cooperation agreement was signed between the two parties. The agreement covers multiple aspects, including joint scientific research, participation in academic conferences, exchange visits, and co-supervision of postgraduate students. It also includes leveraging successful experiences in sustainable development, faculty capacity-building, summer training for students, curriculum updates, and exploring entrepreneurial projects embodying the concept of a “productive university.”
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi and Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, with both sides stressing the importance of activating the memorandum’s provisions through ongoing communication and coordination between the respective teams of the two universities.
Additionally, a cooperation protocol was signed for organizing the Second International Scientific Conference, focusing on achieving sustainable development goals. The conference is expected to take place in late April 2025 in collaboration with Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in Turkey.
