An electronic sterilization portal working on solar energy has been manufactured by the students of Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering Department. Assist. Prof. Dr. Azher M. Abed, Head of the Department and supervisor of the project has clarified that fourth year students of the department in question and part of their graduation projects, have started to design self-sterilization rooms operated by solar energy. The manufacturing costs have been paid by the college and the participating students. All entrance gates have been provided with these sterilization rooms as part of the precautionary procedures to confront COVID19 Pandemic. Dr. Azher has confirmed that these rooms or gates spray sterile mist on all those who go through them on their way to inside the College.
