On Saturday, April 19, the third day of the 3rd International Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Festival featured spectacular sports performances presented by students and professors from the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majid, President of the University, and in the presence of a distinguished group of guests and officials. The activities included:
• Fencing Matches 🏅: Skillful and intense combat demonstrations.
• Taekwondo Shows 🥋: Displays of strength and fluid coordination.
• Sign Language for the Deaf and Mute 🤟: Artistic performances reflecting athletic creativity.
• Equestrian Displays 🐎: Showcases by the university’s equestrian team.

Assistant Professor Dr. Sanaa Abdul Ameer, Dean of the College of Physical Education, affirmed that these events contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) – Good Health and Well-being, emphasizing the principle of “a sound mind in a sound body” and the role of sports in motivating students toward physical learning and effective academic engagement.

These performances also promote social inclusion, particularly through the participation of the deaf and mute community, reflecting the university’s commitment to building an inclusive society aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, such as SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
