Al-Mustaqbal University Signs Memorandum of Understanding Between the College of Engineering and Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University’s Sustainability Department to Boost Cooperation in Energy and Sustainability

As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s ongoing efforts to expand academic and research cooperation with reputable international universities—and under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majid, President of the University—the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Sustainability and Energy Management at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in Turkey. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in the fields of energy, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.

The MoU was signed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University, and Ms. Leyla Akbulut, Director of the Department of Sustainability and Energy Management at the Turkish university. The agreement seeks to establish a strategic partnership to advance education and scientific research in sustainable energy, reflecting both institutions’ commitment to addressing global challenges.

The memorandum outlines several key areas of cooperation, including:
• Developing a joint strategy for student exchange and graduate-level admission
• Conducting joint research projects in energy and renewable energy
• Exchanging scientific publications and research related to sustainable energy
• Organizing joint conferences, seminars, and workshops, both in-person and virtual
• Sharing access to facilities and energy-related technologies between both institutions

This initiative is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategic plan to enhance its academic and research programs in critical fields that align with sustainable development priorities, and to build effective partnerships with leading international academic institutions
