Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the Launch Ceremony of the Third Edition of the “Study in Iraq” Program

Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the central ceremony for launching the third edition of the “Study in Iraq” program for the academic year 2025–2026. The event was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the patronage of His Excellency Minister Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, with high-level attendance that included representatives of international organizations, the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps, several presidents of Iraqi universities, and academic and parliamentary figures.

The delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University included Assistant Professor Dr. Sameer Ibrahim Abbas, Director of the Department of International and Local Cultural Relations, and Mr. Mohammed Fadel Mousa, representing the Registration and Student Affairs Department. This participation reflects the university’s commitment to keeping pace with national programs and initiatives that promote internationalization and open avenues for scientific cooperation with countries around the world.

In his speech, His Excellency the Minister announced the provision of more than 16,000 scholarships in the new edition of the program, covering various academic specializations with a focus on cultural exchange and enhancing the scientific research environment. He also directed the establishment of the “Study in Iraq” association for international students and the designation of April 30 each year as the official International Student Day. Additionally, he emphasized the expansion of Arabic language programs for non-native speakers and practical training for incoming students.

Dr. Tap Raj, Acting Head of the UNESCO Office in Iraq, expressed his congratulations to the Ministry of Higher Education on this initiative, affirming that Iraq continues to reclaim its academic standing by opening its doors to students from around the world
