The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, met with a delegation from the Lithuanian higher education institution LIETUVOS INŽINERIJOS KOLEGIJA (LIK), headed by Associate Professor Dr. Ernesta Liniauskienė.

The meeting focused on exploring avenues of joint cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in the field of engineering—LIK’s most prominent area of specialization. Both parties expressed strong interest in strengthening academic partnerships and exchanging expertise in engineering programs, which would support innovation and enhance student competencies in this vital field.

During the meeting, an official invitation was extended to the President of Al-Mustaqbal University to attend an international conference organized by LIK in Lithuania. The event will also serve as a platform to discuss potential frameworks for cooperation and to expand future partnership opportunities between the two institutions.

It is worth noting that LIK is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Lithuania. Founded in 1920, it boasts over a century of experience in preparing engineering professionals. The institution offers 15 professional bachelor’s programs and emphasizes the integration of theoretical and practical components, equipping its graduates with the skills needed for outstanding success in the job market
