After the announcement of the Ministry of Planning about launching the Iraq Forum for Sustainable Development, in collaboration with UN program for Human settlements "Habitat", the scientific procedures have started to accomplish the scientific goals for the Forum. First of all, supporting the efforts that seek to achieve the goals of sustainability and in the light of Iraq's vision for Sustainability. Accordingly, Babylon governorate has witnessed a collaboration between Al-Mustaqbal University College and the Planning Department. Mr. Khalid Kadhim, Director of Planning Department, and the Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College have discussed the initiative of the Iraq Forum for Sustainable Development, in order to nourish it with the scientific papers and studies related to Sustainability. Furthermore, the discussion has included how the Forum shall be reached as well as the main points of conducting a study about the usage of green energy in one of the housing complexes in Babil and in the same way of the Emirates city "Masdar". All these notions shall be fulfilled through a joint team to prepare records of Sustainability Indexes and volunteerism in Babil.
