Al-Mustaqbal University Commends Participants’ Efforts and Praises the Success of the EURAS Academy 2026 International Forum

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, began his speech by expressing his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the distinguished attendees from leaders of higher education and decision-makers, commending their honorable presence and active participation in the EURAS Academy 2026 International Forum, which was hosted by Al-Mustaqbal University for the first time in the Republic of Iraq. He emphasized that this high-level academic presence played a significant role in the success of the forum and in presenting it in a distinguished manner befitting the status of higher education in Iraq. Engineering Technical College Students Contribute to the Success of the International Forum at Al-Mustaqbal University

Al-Mustaqbal University Launches EURAS Academy 2026 International Forum

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and in cooperation with the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS), Al-Mustaqbal University hosted the EURAS Academy 2026 Forum, the first international scientific event of its kind in Iraq, with high-level local and international academic participation. The opening ceremony was attended by the Ministry’s Deputy for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Adnan Al-Jumaily, EURAS President Prof. Mustafa Aydin, and Al-Mustaqbal University President Prof. Hassan Shaker Majdi, alongside university presidents, faculty members, and researchers. Participants emphasized that the forum supports international academic cooperation and keeps pace with modern developments in higher education, particularly in quality, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and integrating Sustainable Development Goals into university strategies. The forum was honored by the presence of the President of the European–Asian Universities Union (EURAS), along with a distinguished group of academics and decision-makers. The Technical Engineering College Holds a Comprehensive Meeting to Review Units, Enhance Student Training, and Prepare for the EURASIA ACADEMY International Forum This morning, Wednesday,

the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, chaired a comprehensive organizational meeting attended by the Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Muhammad, the College Council Secretary, as well as the heads of both the newly established and existing departments and units. The meeting aimed to discuss the latest developments across all units, enhance student training, improve qualification and employment programs, and review students’ service needs. During the meeting, the Dean reviewed the readiness of both the new and existing units, emphasizing the need to organize the administrative structure of each unit to ensure workflow efficiency. He directed the preparation of a comprehensive guide for each unit and a clear work plan including objectives and timelines, stressing the importance of intensive training courses, student participation in practical activities, and the provision of qualification and employment programs to enhance their skills and improve job opportunities. He also highlighted the necessity for liaison members to submit monthly reports and hold regular meetings with the specialized committees to monitor progress. In a related context, the meeting addressed the final preparations for the EURASIA ACADEMY International Forum, scheduled to be held at the university on Thursday, 29/1/2026, including hall arrangements, coordination of the academic program and associated events, and ensuring student participation in scientific and cultural activities designed to enhance their practical experience. Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul concluded the meeting by affirming that the college is striving diligently to rank among global colleges by updating facilities, developing academic research, and adopting sustainable development standards. He noted that the ultimate goal of these measures is to enhance teaching quality, improve student performance, and strengthen qualification and employment opportunities, contributing to comprehensive education and supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4: Quality Education). Al-Mustaqbal University Council Launches Quality Education Week 2026

The Council of Al-Mustaqbal University held its sixth session chaired by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, coinciding with the International Day of Education, reaffirming the university’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goal on Quality Education. During the session, Quality Education Week 2026 was officially launched, running from January 24 to January 29, featuring a series of academic and scientific activities. These included the inauguration of the University Council Hall and new buildings for newly established colleges and departments, as part of efforts to enhance the educational environment and infrastructure. The council also discussed organizing the Artificial Intelligence Forum in cooperation with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, as well as preparations to host the International Forum of European–Asian Universities, with the participation of Iraqi and Turkish universities, to discuss higher education quality and academic cooperation. In addition, the session reviewed Ministry of Higher Education directives, first-semester results, and preparations for examinations. Congratulations were extended to outstanding colleges and departments following the university’s achievement of first place and the Certificate of Excellence in the Iraqi National Ranking.
