The Continuous Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the launch of a new training course titled “First Aid,” which aims to equip participants with essential skills for handling emergency situations and saving lives. The course is delivered by Dr. Ismail Mohammed Kazem, who provides specialized instruction on managing injuries, performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), controlling bleeding, treating choking cases, in addition to hands-on practical training designed to enhance participants’ applied skills. This course comes as part of the center’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and develop participants’ abilities in safety and first aid response.
The Faculty and Staff Development Course organized by the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University has officially commenced, under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and supervision of the University Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Munther Fadhil. The course aims to enhance the efficiency of academic and administrative staff and develop their professional and academic skills, keeping pace with the latest methods in higher education and modern administration, and contributing to the improvement of institutional performance within the university. During the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi emphasized the importance of investing in human resources as a fundamental pillar for advancing the educational process and achieving academic excellence, praising the efforts of the Continuing Education Center in preparing and implementing training programs that meet the needs of both the university and the broader community.
The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University held its annual meeting to discuss the training course plan for the 2025–2026 academic year. The meeting, chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Riyadh Hamed, Director of the Center, witnessed the active participation of the center’s staff and specialized faculty members. Dr. Riyadh Hamed opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of developing and expanding continuing education programs in line with the needs of the labor market and the aspirations of the academic community. He also stressed the necessity of keeping pace with modern developments in education and training, as well as introducing new specializations that meet the needs of students and the local community. During the meeting, a number of ideas and proposals were presented regarding upcoming training courses, including programs in modern technology, management, leadership, and languages. The participants also highlighted the importance of expanding professional courses aimed at enhancing students’ and graduates’ practical skills. Discussions also covered mechanisms to strengthen cooperation with local and international institutions to offer specialized training programs. Participants explored ways to improve registration and online assessment systems and to make greater use of distance learning platforms to reach a wider audience of trainees. At the conclusion of the meeting, a follow-up committee was formed to oversee the implementation of the training plan for the upcoming academic year and to distribute tasks to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. Attendees expressed their readiness to work diligently to achieve the desired goals and reaffirmed their commitment to providing a distinguished educational experience for participants in the training programs.
The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University has launched a new training course for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with the participation of a group of students and graduates eager to enhance their English language skills and prepare effectively for the exam. The course aims to develop participants’ English proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, while familiarizing them with the structure of the IELTS test and effective answering techniques that can help them achieve high scores. The program is conducted under the supervision of qualified and experienced English language instructors, using the latest teaching methodologies and interactive training tools that allow participants to practice the language in a practical, exam-like environment. Asst. Prof. Dr. Riyadh Hamed, Director of the Continuing Education Center, emphasized that this course is part of the center’s plan to offer high-quality training programs designed to empower students academically and professionally, and to help them meet admission requirements for postgraduate studies both in Iraq and abroad. Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the university's Center for Continuing Education organized a specialized training course targeting a select group of staff from the Babylon Electricity Department. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to supporting professional development programs and enhancing the efficiency of human resources in vital sectors. The course was inaugurated by Dr. Riyadh Hamed, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, who emphasized in his opening remarks the pivotal role played by Al-Mustaqbal University in transferring academic expertise and providing innovative training solutions that meet the needs of state institutions and keep pace with global technological advancements. Prof. Dr. Rida Abdul Aati Al-Feshawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, and was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and administrative staff, and witnessed notable interaction and fruitful discussions. The lecture covered several key themes, including: General concepts of human rights in both international and national law. The historical development of human rights frameworks. The relationship between public freedoms and legal responsibility. The role of academic institutions in promoting a culture of human rights. The constitutional and legislative framework of human rights in Iraq. This workshop comes as part of a series of activities organized by the Center for Continuing Education, aimed at developing professional competencies and promoting legal and human rights awareness within the university community. Prof. Dr. Rida Abdul Aati Al-Feshawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education. This specialized training program aims to develop participants’ statistical skills and enable them to use SPSS software efficiently, through practical and applied lectures delivered by distinguished academic experts: Dr. Bashar Khalid Ali Hussein Head of the Department of Statistics – College of Administration and Economics – University of Karbala Dr. Zain Al-Abideen Aboud Kazem Rapporteur of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences – College of Administrative Sciences – Al-Mustaqbal University The course covers a range of both fundamental and advanced topics, including: Basics of the program and data entry mechanisms Questionnaire design and data coding in SPSS Reliability testing (Cronbach’s Alpha) Normal distribution, descriptive statistics, and graphical representation Non-parametric tests Correlation and regression measures Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) Hands-on training with real data and applied examples Evaluation tests to measure participants’ learning outcomes This program comes as part of the Center’s ongoing mission to support scientific research and enhance statistical and technical skills among students, researchers, and faculty members—contributing to improved academic and research performance both within and beyond the university. Under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the “Computer Camp – Programming and Artificial Intelligence Course” was launched by the Center for Continuing Education at Al-Mustaqbal University, with the participation of a group of students and individuals interested in programming and artificial intelligence applications. The course aimed to equip participants with both fundamental and advanced technical skills through practical, hands-on training in the Python programming language, as well as an introduction to artificial intelligence concepts and their real-world applications. The five-day program included four days of online training via Google Meet, followed by a final in-person session dedicated to project implementation and the awarding of certificates. The training was delivered by Ammar Abdul Kareem Mubarak, a professional programmer and founder of Webe Software Solutions, and Asst. Lecturer Yasmeen Mohammed Fadhel, a certified trainer at the Center for Continuing Education – Al-Mustaqbal University. Their sessions combined theoretical instruction with applied exercises. Key topics of the course included: Basics of Python programming and developing the first practical project Applying programming concepts through loops, conditions, and lists Introduction to artificial intelligence with practical examples Exploration of AI libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, and TensorFlow Designing and testing an interactive chatbot The program witnessed remarkable engagement from participants, who expressed great interest in the practical and interactive approach of the training. This contributed to strengthening their understanding of programming and AI concepts and enabled them to apply the acquired skills in real-world contexts. The course was organized under the direct supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Rida Abdul Aati Al-Feshawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, as part of a series of specialized programs delivered by the Center to develop the competencies of students and graduates, empowering them with the digital skills required in today’s labor market.
