In cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, a scientific workshop on the impact of foot-and-mouth disease on public health.

In support of Sustainable Development Goal 3, "Good Health and Well-being," and Goal 17, "Partnerships for the Goals," and under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Magdi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Walaa Al-Falluji, the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the College of Medicine, University of Babylon, held an awareness workshop on foot-and-mouth disease. The workshop addressed several important topics, including the history of the disease, its causes, methods of transmission, and its most prominent symptoms. The workshop focused on the importance of early detection and prevention methods, in addition to discussing the latest methods of treatment and control of the disease in livestock. Several professors from the Department of Microbiology at the College of Medicine, Babylon, participated in the workshop (Assistant Professor Samara Abdul Hamid, Assistant Professor Dina Tariq Mazhar, Assistant Professor Diana Jalal Muhammad, Assistant Professor Murtada Khalil Ibrahim). They emphasized the need to raise community awareness, especially in agricultural and rural areas, to limit the spread of the disease.

Sustainable Change Pioneers at the al-mustaqbal Sustainability Week Festival

The Sustainable Change Pioneers course, part of the al-mustaqbal Sustainability Week Festival, was one of the most inspiring moments. We gathered youthful ideas, genuine discussions, and an energy full of awareness and hope for change. Students who believe in their role in shaping a better future participated with enthusiasm. And most importantly? This workshop won't be the last. It's part of a broader, ongoing program supported and funded by al-mustaqbal University. We will continue the journey, expand our impact, and create new opportunities for youth towards a sustainable environment.

Workshop entitled "Colors and Mental Health"

The College of Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a workshop entitled “Colors and Mental Health” to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, which include the third goal (good health and well-being) and the fourth goal (quality education). The workshop was held and opened on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 12 noon in the Humanitarian Building, Studio Hall 401, and concluded on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 9:30 am in the Humanitarian Building, Hall 309. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa El-Din Abdullah, a specialist in counseling and psychotherapy, and was attended by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Hamid Lafta, a rapporteur in the Design Department at the College of Fine Arts. The workshop addressed the role of color psychology in promoting mental health and alleviating life pressures, psychological tensions, anxiety, and depression. It also highlighted the importance of expressing feelings through colors as an expressive tool for personality type and its role in improving mood and enhancing creativity and psychological balance. Individuals achieve a high level of mental health. Several case studies related to this topic were also reviewed. A questionnaire was distributed to the course participants to measure the relationship between colors and mental health. This provided a comprehensive scientific study to determine the strength and direction of the relationship and to come up with recommendations and proposals to strengthen this relationship, which would positively impact the mental health of university students. Assistant Professor Ali Mahdi Saleh, a representative of the University's Center for Continuing Education, participated in the discussion. At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants emphasized that colors have a direct impact on our psychological state, as they can lift our spirits or depress us. We can choose the mood that supports our day in the details of our day, based on our psychological, professional, and social needs, and wear the color that aligns with our personality. Therefore, colors can be used as allies during our day and night.

The fifth session of the National English Language Examination kicks off at the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University.

The fifth session of the National English Language Examination kicked off this morning at the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University, with a distinguished attendance of those interested in developing language skills. The session is being led by a group of English language specialists: Aya Haider, Worood Iyad, and Iman Mohammed. They will present a series of lectures and intensive training sessions aimed at preparing participants to take the national exam with competence and confidence. This session aims to raise the language proficiency of participants and introduce them to exam methods and the most important skills required for success, within an integrated scientific and practical framework. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance the academic and language skills of students and graduates, providing them with the necessary tools to meet the demands of the job market and postgraduate studies.

Continuation of the "English for Business" Course

The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the continuation of the "English for Business" lectures, which are held online via the Google Meet platform as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance English language skills in the business field. This initiative is designed to meet the needs of participants in the job market, as the lectures provide advanced training content that includes essential vocabulary and phrases used in the business environment, along with interactive training sessions that boost trainees' ability to communicate confidently and professionally. The course is presented by the English language trainer Ward Eyad Qahtan. The courses follow a fixed schedule that allows participants to interact directly with the lecturers, ensuring comprehensive explanations and in-depth discussions of the topics covered. Additionally, the sessions offer an opportunity to ask questions and exchange experiences, thereby enriching the educational process. Participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Al-Mustaqbal University organizes an international scientific symposium on green innovations for a sustainable future.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Magdi, the University's Continuing Education Center, in collaboration with the Student Energy Investment Unit at the University of Babylon, organized an international scientific symposium entitled "Green Innovations: A Revolution for a Sustainable Future." The symposium featured a group of experts and researchers, including Dr. Fawzi Fadel, President of the General Union of Egyptian and Arab Tribes and holder of a PhD in Agriculture from the Arab Republic of Egypt. He discussed the importance of international cooperation in the field of green innovations, highlighting the role of partnerships between countries and organizations in promoting environmental innovation and exchanging expertise and knowledge. Professor Dr. Shaima Hadi Khadir, Head of the Student Energy Investment Unit at the University of Babylon, also presented a presentation on the latest innovative technologies in the fields of renewable energy and sustainable agriculture, as well as modern environmental technologies that contribute to environmental protection and achieving sustainable development. Assistant Professor Dr. Reda Abdel-Ati El-Fishawy, Director of the Continuing Education Center at Future University, spoke about the role of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in promoting green innovations, highlighting how these technologies can be leveraged in the sustainable management of natural resources, including water, soil, and minerals. At the conclusion of the symposium, participants received certificates accredited by the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University in recognition of their active participation.

Al-Mustaqbal University organizes a complementary course for the Youth Skills Development Program in Sustainable Development

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, and as part of the university's continuous efforts to develop academic and administrative cadres, the activities of a complementary course for the "Youth Development in Sustainable Development" program were launched, which was organized by the Continuing Education Center in cooperation with the Sustainable Development Division. The course targeted participants from faculty members of various specializations and academic levels, including the medical, engineering, and humanitarian sectors. Five trainers from specialized professors participated in presenting the course, where they addressed pivotal topics in the field of sustainability, including: ✅ Sustainability concepts and dimensions ✅ Green education and its role in achieving sustainable development ✅ Sustainability projects and ways to implement them effectively ✅ Volunteer campaigns and their impact on environmental and community awareness ✅ Sustainability Ambassadors Program and linking it to real-life case studies This course aims to enhance youth awareness of the importance of sustainable development, and provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate effectively in environmental and community projects, in line with Future University's vision of supporting sustainability as an academic and community approach At the end of the course, participants receive certificates accredited by the Continuing Education Center.

The start of the preparatory course for the English National Examination

The Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University announces the launch of the preparatory course for the National English Language Test. This course aims at students who face difficulty in passing the National English Test, which is one of the requirements for applying to graduate studies in Iraq. The lectures continue in person by the most efficient trainers (Trainer Wurood Ayad, Trainer Aya Haider, Trainer Iman Muhammad) and under the supervision of both the manager of the Continuing Education Center, Assistant Professor Dr. Reda Abdel-Ati Al-Fishawi and the Assistant Director, M.M. Abd Ali Dakhel Jassim. The manager of the Center praised the importance of this course for students who face difficulty in performing the national test. The course price is 99,000 dinars and the course location is at the Continuing Education Center / Al-Qadiyah. The trainee receives a certificate of participation.
