Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abadi Manea, Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University, delivered a scientific seminar entitled “From Human Intelligence to Artificial Intelligence: Where Do Cognitive Abilities Stand?” on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Scientific Care Forum of the Babil Directorate of Youth and Sports, in the presence of the Forum’s Director and members of its staff. The seminar addressed the rapid transformations taking place in the field of artificial intelligence, highlighting the relationship between human intellectual and cognitive abilities and the growing development of intelligent systems. It also explored the capabilities and limitations of artificial intelligence in comparison with human abilities in thinking, analysis, creativity, and decision-making. The seminar further emphasized the importance of enhancing scientific and community awareness of emerging technologies and viewing artificial intelligence as a supportive tool that complements human capabilities. It highlighted the need for responsible and conscious use of AI technologies in accordance with scientific and human values. This scientific activity reflects the efforts of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University to expand scientific engagement with community institutions, promote digital literacy and awareness of artificial intelligence applications, and address the impact of emerging technologies across different fields. It also reinforces the University’s commitment to serving the community and keeping pace with rapid technological developments. At the conclusion of the seminar, Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abadi Manea was honored with a certificate of appreciation by the Scientific Care Forum in Babil, in recognition of his scientific participation and contributions to raising awareness of artificial intelligence and contemporary cognitive issues.
