Al-Mustaqbal University has continued to strengthen its academic and research presence at both the local and international levels, achieving advanced results in a number of international rankings, sustainability indicators, and research performance metrics The indicators showed that the University ranked first in Iraq in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings, placing in the 201–300 global band among 2,526 universities. The University also ranked first in Iraq in the THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026, placing in the 251–300 global band The University further ranked second in Iraq in the QS Sustainability World University Rankings, placing in the 1401–1500 global band and 524th in Asia. In the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, it ranked third in Iraq, achieving 166th place globally and first among Iraqi private universities In terms of the Sustainable Development Goals, the University recorded notable results, most prominently ranking 51st globally in SDG 7, which focuses on Affordable and Clean Energy. It also entered the 201–300 global bands for SDG 6 and SDG 4, and the 301–400 global band for SDG 3 In research excellence, the University's publications indexed in Scopus reached approximately 6,717, while its H-index rose to 95. The number of researchers contributing to the University's global research output reached 1,034, in addition to 550 research publications recorded during 2026 up to the date of the latest update These indicators reflect the growing presence of Al-Mustaqbal University in research, sustainability, and international rankings, and reaffirm its commitment to strengthening its academic and scientific impact in line with the requirements of modern higher education and the Sustainable Development Goals
