Al-Mustaqbal University discussed mechanisms for advancing scientific and academic performance and strengthening its institutional presence during an expanded meeting chaired by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, in the presence of Professor Dr. Tarek Jawad Kazem, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, along with a number of directors of departments and units at the University Presidency The meeting focused on moving beyond monitoring achievements toward building a more effective work system based on setting priorities, measuring outcomes, and analyzing performance indicators, in line with the University’s commitment to sustainable development and enhancing competitiveness The discussions addressed several areas related to scientific research and academic publishing, local and international partnerships, university rankings, as well as programs for developing the capabilities of students and graduates and aligning educational outcomes with the evolving needs of the labor market The University President emphasized the importance of translating academic and scientific partnerships into measurable joint projects and programs, while continuing to support applied scientific research and directing it toward real-world issues capable of generating tangible scientific and societal impact The meeting also discussed ways to enhance the role of the Department of Science and Technology Parks and strengthen its connection with the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, contributing to the development of more effective pathways for connecting researchers with the public and private sectors, utilizing scientific outputs, and transforming them into value-generating projects The meeting’s directives emphasized the adoption of periodic analytical reports as a tool for monitoring progress and identifying strengths and areas for improvement, enabling more accurate and proactive decision-making during the next phase This approach reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to establishing an institutional culture based on planning, measurement, and continuous development, while enhancing the integration of its scientific and academic activities in support of its pursuit of excellence and strengthening its presence in the local and international higher education landscape
