Under the Patronage of the Dean of the Engineering Technical College, Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, the Student Activities Division organized the College Five-a-Side Football Championship on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, with the participation of teams representing all academic departments, alongside several college faculty members and representatives of the Student Activities Units. The championship took place at the sports field of Al-Mustaqbal University. The championship witnessed an enthusiastic sporting atmosphere characterized by positive competition and teamwork, highlighting the importance of sports activities in strengthening communication among academic departments and fostering cooperation and social bonds among college members. This championship reflects the College Deanship’s commitment to supporting student and sports activities and providing students and faculty members with opportunities to participate in events that contribute to developing physical and mental abilities, enhancing self-confidence, discipline, and team spirit. This initiative is based on the belief that sport is not merely a competition, but rather a means of building a well-rounded personality that combines mental well-being with physical strength. Furthermore, this event aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), through encouraging physical activity and promoting physical and mental health; Goal 4 (Quality Education), by supporting extracurricular activities and developing students’ life skills; and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), through strengthening cooperation and coordination among academic departments and Student Activities Units. This championship embodies the sporting and educational message: "Through Sports, We Build Strong Bodies, Nurture Good Character, and Promote the Spirit of Cooperation." It reaffirms the role of sports in creating a positive university environment that brings together knowledge, activity, and creativity.
