Towards a Sustainable University Environment: Awareness Brochure on the Occasion of the International Day of Tree Planting
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azher Mohsin Abd, the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Division, in collaboration with the College of Agricultural Technologies, organized a special brochure on the occasion of the International Day of Tree Planting. In accordance with the Ministry’s directive regarding afforestation, the event was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Objective:
To highlight the importance of tree planting and its vital role in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development.
The brochure included comprehensive information about the benefits of trees, as well as upcoming activities and events related to afforestation. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to achieve the 13th Sustainable Development Goal (Climate Action), during which a large number of plant seedlings were planted within the university campus to promote plant diversity, reduce the carbon footprint, and improve air quality.
The brochure was distributed among students and faculty members and received great appreciation from all. We hope that this brochure will contribute to enhancing the culture of tree planting and promoting a greener environment.
