Participated the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, in an extensive academic tour as part of a high-level Iraqi ministerial delegation the Arab Republic of Egypt, headed by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd. The visit aimed to strengthen frameworks of joint academic cooperation and activate scientific partnerships between the two brotherly countries. The participation came within the framework of developing memoranda of understanding and advancing the level of scientific research. The visit included key academic stations, notably Al-Azhar University, where the delegation met with its presidency to discuss prospects for integration in scientific and research fields and the exchange of academic expertise to support the educational journey in both Iraq and Egypt. The tour also included close follow-up on joint postgraduate programs with Mansoura University, where the successful experience of the Master’s program in Law—hosted by Al-Mustaqbal University from Mansoura University—was highly praised as one of the early successful models of constructive academic cooperation between the two countries. Emphasis was placed on overcoming obstacles facing researchers and expanding cooperation in modern and interdisciplinary fields. Mansoura University is considered one of the leading Egyptian universities in higher education and scientific research. The delegation also held expanded meetings at the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to discuss mechanisms for mutual recognition, academic twinning programs, and initiatives aimed at improving university rankings in global databases. In support of international scientific publishing, the delegation reviewed the latest artificial intelligence technologies in research during its visit to the regional office of ELSEVIER and discussed ways to enhance the global presence of Iraqi research. The visit further included a tour of Entelegy (Intelaq) Information and Communications Technology Company at Mansoura University, where key achievements in digital transformation and technological infrastructure supporting education and healthcare sectors were presented, earning the delegation’s appreciation as a leading Egyptian model. The President of Al-Mustaqbal University affirmed that this participation reflects the university’s commitment to applying global quality standards and enhancing its educational and research environment through international partnerships, highlighting its continuous pursuit of academic openness and impactful collaboration to prepare globally competitive graduates. These efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), within the direction of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to promote international openness and achieve excellence in research outputs.
