In a strategic move that reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision for international academic engagement and its commitment to advancing scientific research and smart development, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, accompanied by Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Zalmi, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi, Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom, paid an official visit to the prestigious University of Nottingham in the UK. The visit included extensive meetings with academic leaders at the University of Nottingham and the School of Pharmacy, where both parties discussed frameworks for activating strategic partnership, developing academic twinning programs, dual degrees, and launching joint research projects that elevate the level of scientific cooperation between the two institutions. This partnership carries special significance due to the global standing of both institutions. The School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham is ranked first in the UK and eighth worldwide, and maintains a close strategic partnership with Boots, a leading global pharmaceutical company, providing its graduates with extensive employment opportunities at the world’s top institutions and companies. In parallel, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to excel, having achieved American accreditation for pharmaceutical education, which reflects the complete alignment of its curricula and infrastructure with the highest international standards. The visit culminated in the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Al-Mustaqbal University and the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. This agreement aims to build strong bridges for academic and research cooperation, facilitate the exchange of expertise between faculty members and researchers, and open new horizons for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology, reinforcing the role of both universities in advancing higher education and scientific research at the global level.
