A New Research Partnership Brings Al-Mustaqbal University and Al-Nahrain Center Together to Advance Knowledge and Innovation

Al-Mustaqbal University strengthened its role in research cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies on June 19, 2026, during an official ceremony held at the Center’s headquarters, attended by a number of university professors, researchers, and specialists. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of Al-Mustaqbal University by the Dean of the Engineering Technical College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, while the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies was represented by its Director General, Legal Professor Ali Nasser Bunyan. The agreement aims to establish effective institutional cooperation in scientific research, knowledge exchange, and the sharing of academic expertise. The memorandum focuses on developing joint research projects and programs and exchanging scientific and academic expertise, in addition to organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, and specialized training courses. These activities are intended to provide a supportive environment for researchers, enhance their capabilities, and expand the scope of scientific and intellectual output. The partnership also opens new avenues for cooperation in studying priority issues and challenges and utilizing the expertise and resources available to both institutions to produce studies and scientific solutions that can contribute to supporting development and serving Iraqi society. This initiative reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to establishing a network of partnerships with specialized scientific and research institutions and strengthening integration between academia and research centers, thereby supporting research and innovation and promoting a culture of knowledge exchange. The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through supporting scientific research, developing capabilities, and strengthening institutional cooperation. Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked first among private universities in Iraq, continues to expand its scientific and knowledge-based partnerships, strengthening its role in knowledge production, supporting scientific research, and contributing to innovative solutions to the challenges facing society.
